Dear brothers and sisters,
“Sunday Worship” is our testimony: that we are called by God to be set apart from the world. We willingly and cheerfully set apart our body, mind and soul and dedicate them to the Lord.
The Israelites came out of Egypt and set themselves apart from “Egypt”. They left Egypt and went to the wilderness to worship the only true God at Mount Sinai. This process of preparation for worship can be compared to ‘I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.’ ‘You will be for Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ Exodus 19:4, 6
The Israelites had to consecrate themselves and wash their clothes today and tomorrow and be ready to worship the Lord on the third day. (Exodus 19:10-11) Consecration is not only the outward behaviour, but the giving of mind and emotion ‘to Me’.

After being a Christian for some time, the most common problem is that we have forsaken the love we had at first for the Lord, but moaning about the “bitter water and lack of food”, and loving the world or anything in it, so the love of the father is not in us. We are used to worshiping on Sundays, we have “attended and served and offered ” and continue in the same old rut.
“Worship” is a spiritual battle. Various things may happen every Sunday, we might be overwhelmed with duties and worries instead of coming to the Lord with a quiet spirit and a joyful heart. Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.
‘Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.’ (2Tim 2:21)
In Christ,
